Map: Click here Description: A large 5 bedroom house on the lakeside of the beautiful Jablanica Lake, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Due to a change of circumstances this large five bedroom house at the side of Jablanica Lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be going onto the market at the end of this year. It is reached via an electronic gate off of the main road from Sarajevo (1 hr 15 mins away) to Mostar (1 hr 15 mins away) in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was recently rebuilt (2003) to a very high standard and has proved to be and excellent retreat. The house is connected to mains electricity and telephone. Water, however is supplied through a 15000 liter tank which is filled up as required by the Konjic Municipal Authorities (cost around 50km a time). For living space it has three double and two single bedrooms and an attic dormitory. All bedrooms have lake views and the two singles have balconies overlooking the lake. There are three bathrooms and a large first floor sitting room with an open fire looking out over a balcony to the lake, together with a down stairs dining room, giving onto a large terrace with vines and kiwi fruit, also fronting onto the lake As for facilities the house will remain with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a washing machine and a satellite television aerial. The garden consists of a lawn, a large vegetable patch, a small orchard with plums, cherries, apples, pears, quinces, walnuts and peaches, running down to the lake’s edge, where there is a boathouse, which will come complete with an ancient and approximately seaworthy Bosnian fishing boat, which takes a maximum of ten, providing at least one is a hearty bailer! The boathouse is also equipped with an electric pump that draws water from the lake to water the garden. There is a large barbeque on the dining room terrace and other terraces for sitting out, including one covered with pebbles for bathers, down by the lake. Jablanica lake has a developing tourist reputation, with several good restaurants. The lake has some of the best fishing in the country - large carp, trout and bass, and is also safe for swimming The house is owned by Lord Ashdown, the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina who has all the papers to prove they legally own it. We would like interested parties to send queries to the e-mail address below. The owner has a local lawyer working on the sale of this who will take care of the transfer of ownership. Further photos (including the inside) and details can be supplied on request. Price: 200,000 Euros
